Pioneering combination of AutoStore and driverless transport vehicles: Esders GmbH is expanding its tried-and-tested storage system with a fully automated transport solution that sets new standards in intralogistics.
The concept
Building on the successful AutoStore system from 2018, HÖRMANN Intralogistics is developing a pioneering solution: nine SAFELOG XS 1 vehicles intelligently network the AutoStore® grid with the downstream conveyor technology and create a fully automated transport chain from the warehouse to order picking for the first time.

The solution in detail
The expanded system combines the tried-and-tested AutoStore grid (6,000 bins, 10 robots) with an intelligent AGV fleet. The SAFELOG XS 1 vehicles autonomously take over the container transfer, navigate independently through the warehouse and ensure continuous availability by autonomously charging at induction stations.
This premiere at HÖRMANN Intralogistics is the first to network AutoStore technology with driverless transport systems to create an end-to-end automated solution.
