AutoStore® system for Becker Schoell AG - Pet food

In order to optimize the existing intralogistics processes, PROLOG-TEAM Logistik- und Organisationsberatung was commissioned by Becker Schoell to develop an optimal overall concept and to implement it during ongoing operations. Based on the developed overall concept and a broad market tender, HÖRMANN Logistik GmbH was selected as the general contractor and commissioned to carry out several system simulations for this sub-project in order to ensure that the AutoStore® system configuration was ideal and geared towards the future.

The individual customer requirements of Becker Schoell and the simulation results led to a system configuration with approximately 21,000 totes, 40 robots from the "Red Line" series, 3 storage and 6 retrieval workstations. Corresponding growth possibilities for the workstations are already included. Thus, a compact AutoStore® system was created on just about 700 m².
