dhf Manufacturer Survey: AI & Energy Saving in Intralogistics
As part of the manufacturer survey of the dhf magazine Special Intralogistics IT and Systems, the inevitable topics of AI and energy saving in intralogistics were discussed. Peter Gierlich, Head of IT Solutions, provided insights into our digital solutions.
Question 1: Artificial Intelligence in the WMS
Our WMS HiLIS enables the seamless integration of AI applications. Through interfaces to partners such as Robominds and Caja Robotics, we optimize workflows. Exemplary is the successful connection of AutoStore systems with high-bay or manual warehouses at iDM in Matrei.
Question 2: Green logistics
Our HiLIS Eco-Powermanagement, proven for years, reduces energy consumption by up to 25%. Through innovative approaches, such as the use of released energy in axis movements and Powercap technology, we have been able to dramatically reduce CO2 emissions. At E. Hawle Armaturenwerk in Austria, we are successfully using the next generation of RBGs with Powercap technology.
The results speak for themselves: through targeted measures, we are achieving an impressive reduction in the CO2 footprint at our plants. In collaboration with Hörmann Energy Solutions, we also offer comprehensive system solutions for regenerative energy generation through photovoltaic systems.
