HÖRMANN Intralogistics implements AutoStore system for IPS in Burghausen

Munich, July 2025 - IPS - Industrial Piping Service GmbH & Co. KG from Burghausen has commissioned HÖRMANN Intralogistics to implement an AutoStore system to optimize its internal logistics. The new system will automate the company's material flows in the areas of storage and order picking and prepare them for future requirements. The focus is on supplying large industrial companies in the Bavarian chemical triangle as well as specialized, supra-regional plant, apparatus and pipeline manufacturers.

The AutoStore system will be equipped with 10,230 containers with a height of 220 mm and operated by four robots from the "Red Line" series with five loading stations. Two conveyor ports enable the connection to incoming/outgoing goods and order picking. In addition, a conveyor frame is being prepared for later expansion. The system is controlled via the HiLIS warehouse management system from HÖRMANN Intralogistics. Other components of the project include a cleaning station for the AutoStore robots and extinguishing generators for fire protection. Container insertion is also part of the scope of delivery.
